Prosthepexy
In recent years, Prosthesis Pexy or breast lift prosthesis has become one of the most popular procedures in the world. This surgery is performed for women who have small and loose breasts. This operation consists of two breast lift and prosthesis surgeries, which are used with the aim of raising the breast halo and making small, drooping and loose breasts bulky. This surgery is suitable for women who have lost the firmness and shape of their breasts over time due to childbirth and breastfeeding and hormonal changes. If the patient is not satisfied with the size of the breasts in the bra, it is necessary to use a breast prosthesis. Mastopexy is performed in patients who have loose and drooping breasts and have adequate volume, because breast lift surgery usually reduces the volume of the breast to some extent.
Prosthepexy surgery is performed in two ways:
- Placement of prosthesis is done simultaneously with breast lift.
- 4 to 6 months after the breast lift, the placement of the breast prosthesis is done.
According to past surgical experiences, the results of the second type of surgery are better than the results of the first type of surgery.
Duration of surgery:
3 to 4 hours
Recovery period:
4 to 5 days
The time required to improve the swelling and the final observation of the result of the operation:
6 months after surgery
Description after prosthetic surgery

- To prevent the stitches from drying, lubricate them with antibiotic ointment 4 to 5 times a day for 3 weeks.
- After the third week, use a healing ointment to help the wound disappear under the breast.
