Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty or Tummy Tuck is one of the most common body contouring surgeries for beauty and correcting deformity and shrinking the abdomen. Abdominoplasty is a procedure in which fat and excess skin of the abdomen that has lost its elasticity are removed and the abdominal muscles are tightened. Abdominal disfigurement and ugliness appear in the form of unusual protrusions of the abdomen, looseness and sagging of the abdominal skin, and the presence of wrinkles in the skin. This surgery is usually used for patients with loose tissue, aging, heredity and genetics, history of pregnancy, and severe weight loss that weakens the abdominal muscles. Abdominoplasty is suitable for people who have not achieved results from exercise and diet and are not gaining weight and have a stable weight.
Who is not suitable for abdominoplasty?

When do we need abdominoplasty?
If you want to have a flat stomach, use abdominoplasty or tummy tuck to correct the appearance of this part of the body.
loose skin
It is normal for the abdominal skin to stretch during pregnancy or when you have lost a lot of weight, and unfortunately, the skin does not return to its original position after that. Many women mistakenly choose liposuction to flatten their stomachs.
Abdominal fold
Abdominal folds are folds on the skin of the abdomen that appear due to excess skin in the abdomen.
Abdominal sagging
Sagging belly happens when the skin of the abdomen hangs down. Sagging skin may cover the top of a person’s underwear or pants.
Frowning navel
The navel usually has a round or oval appearance. If the appearance of the navel becomes a frown, it means the presence of excess, loose or fat skin.
Abdominal skin wrinkles
Abdominoplasty is necessary for skin that is crumpled or creased and does not return to its previous appearance.
Two bubbles or two pieces of the abdomen
If your stomach is in two parts, usually one part is above the navel and the other is below it, it is a sign that your skin is loose or extra. Abdominoplasty removes this excess skin.

How is abdominoplasty performed?
It is better to perform this operation under the supervision of a skilled plastic surgeon. This surgery is generally performed in two ways:
1- Mini abdominoplasty
In this method, after complete anesthesia, a large incision is made throughout the lower abdomen. After making an incision, the skin is separated from the wall below the belly button. At this stage, the accumulated fat is removed from the abdomen and the excess skin is cut, and to tighten the remaining skin, both sides of the cut are sutured after pulling and tightening. Mehmola mini abdominoplasty is used for those who do not have a lot of sagging and fat.
Mini abdominoplasty is one of the abdominoplasty procedures that should be performed under the supervision of the best plastic surgeons in Tehran.
2- Complete abdominoplasty
In this method, after complete anesthesia, a large incision is made across the lower abdomen parallel to the left side to the right side or vice versa. And another incision is made to free the navel from the surrounding tissues. In this method, to make the abdominal muscles smooth and aligned, the skin is separated from the abdominal wall, and then excess fat and skin are removed. A new hole is then inserted to hold the navel in place. To tighten the skin, both sides of the cut are stretched and tightened. Then the incisions are sutured.
Complete abdominoplasty is one of the methods of abdominoplasty that should be performed under the supervision of the best plastic surgeons in Tehran.
